The Aliso Niguel Boys Lacrosse season is yet to start but all the players have an optimistic outlook to their 2026 season.
Urva Pawar (12) states, This season is going to be a journey especially because we have a lot of new material to work with. Nevertheless it is still going to continue the same tradition we have at Aliso”.
When Pawar says “same tradition” he means winning.
The boys started their practice on Jan. 5, practicing every weekday Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1:15 to 5:15 and Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 5:15.
The weekend of Jan. 24 is their Airstation Shootout at OC Great Park in Irvine which is a tournament against local competition. Every high school team plays five games against each other and the winner comes out on top.
The boys real season starts on Feb. 19 with their first game against Vista Murrieta at home.
The week after that they had three games, the first on the 25 playing against Huntington Beach away, King (Riverside) on the 26 at home and Edison High School on the 28 at home.
In March they have games every week with the first one on March 3 against San Clemente at home, another against Tesoro away on the 5 and lastly against Santiago High School on the 6 at home.
Week two their first game on the 10 against San Juan Hills at home, 12 against Trabuco Hills at home and at the end of the week against Servite High School at home.
Week three is two games away the first on the 17 against Newport harbor highschool and against Canyon High School on the 19. Week four starts off against San Clemente on the 24 playing away and on the 27 against Crean Lutheran at home.
At the end of March the boys will play against Tesoro High School at home on the 31.
April is their last month of playing so far just two games determined so far.
The first against San Juan Hills on April 1 away, the second against Trabuco Hills High School away again.
Dylan Vandermere (12) states, “I’m thrilled to play my last season with this team and I have a good feeling about this season.”
After all their league and non-league matches are over they will go onto league finals and they hope to continue playing through CIF.
