Boys Baseball Continues Season

The Aliso NIguel Baseball teams season  is slowly coming to an end. Since their last reported loss against Trabuco Hills High School on Friday, March  25, the boys have played many more games, with many more wins to add to their season.

At the beginning of the season, the team had faced challenging opponents and had managed to only win a  handful of games. But since the latest update, they have won five more games.

The most significant of these wins are matches such as their three in  a row winning streak from their games on Wednesday, March 30 against San Juan Hills with a score of 3-1, through their Friday, April 1 game against Beckman High School, with the score of 4-0.

It’s no doubt that the team has seemed to improve since the rough start to their season, but the boys still faced some challenging opponents. Though the team played four games throughout the season against Trabuco Hills High School, they proved to be a challenging team to beat, as they beat Aliso at all four games with scores of 6-1, 9-1, 13-3,  and 7-4. These scores show a significant gap between teams, and hopefully they’ll be able to beat Trabuco Hills High  School next season.

The team also had a tough time playing Laguna Beach, playing the high school on Monday April 4, and losing with the score of 12-3.

Despite these challenges, the team has made remarkable progress from the beginning of  their season, and are ending it with 33rd place in Southern Section Division 1. The boys are also ranked at number 363 for all of California, and at 161 for southern California.

But the season isn’t over yet. The baseball team still has one more game to play to complete their season. This game on Wednesday, April 27 against San Clemente High School is both the last league game and the last game on the schedule for the rest of  their season.

We wish Aliso’s baseball team good luck on their  last game of the season, and can’t wait to see  how they improve for next season.
