Keila Ventura (9) says “I was expecting the movie to only be about basketball. I didn’t really think it would have a deeper meaning. In my opinion, the film was very good and I liked how the movie portrayed sportsmanship.
My favorite part was when the main character proved all of the other animals wrong and played in the game. My favorite character in the movie was probably the jaguar because she stood out to me out of all the other characters.”
Brandon Yu from the New York Times stated that Goat “is enlivened by artwork with colorful texture and a dynamic animation style.”
Owen Gleiberman from Variety said that the movie is “a vibrant surprise.”
In both the U.S. and Canada, Goat was released during the same time as other popular movies, such as Crime 101 and Wuthering Heights. During the opening weekend, Goat produced about 25 million dollars from 3,700 theaters.
This movie is enjoyable and entertaining for adults, kids and teenagers. It is a great film to watch with family and friends, as it emphasizes inspiring lessons about new perspectives, hard work and teamwork.
