The career fair took place on March 23, 2026 at Aliso Niguel High School and it lasted for about two hours, from five to seven in the afternoon. The career fair allowed students from different schools to find countless opportunities for their future careers.
The ANHS career fair offers students a chance to interact with professionals from different industries, which helps students obtain the right information and needed guidance to accomplish their future goals.
There were various educational programs and business opportunities for both students and adults. There was a representative for Irvine Valley College in Irvine and another representative for Saddleback College in Mission Viejo.
Both colleges presented a list of classes that people could take the next fall based upon their individual interests. Educational programs at community colleges give everyone a chance to have some extra knowledge and experience before moving onto bigger things.
Karla Davila (11) says “I was interested in opportunities that offered structured learning and skill development. The medical internships and summer programs stood out to me since they were good for gaining experience and insight into different fields.
Additionally, the interactive architecture and trailer that was outside of the gym, was so cool to see because it was built very well on both the inside and the outside and it was actually built by the students who were a part of that architecture program.”
The College and Career Advantage booth gave out pamphlets that contained very useful information about different job opportunities in the medical field. Some professions that were included in the pamphlet were dental assisting, cybersecurity, medical assisting, pharmacy technician, surgical technologist, veterinary technician, and more.
This pamphlet had detailed information about the main objectives of each job, thoroughly emphasizing their significance in society, with class meeting schedules, registration codes, and also additional information about the availability of the classes.
Emma Esparza (11) says “I think the career fair is highly beneficial for our school because it creates business connections and it’s an amazing way for students to learn more about the adult world.
Also, there are still a lot of students in high school who aren’t really sure about their futures, about what career path they want to follow, so I think that the career fair excites people about the future and actually motivates them to find their passion in life.”
There were only a few restaurant representatives present at the career fair, but they caught the attention of younger students who were looking for job opportunities and new experiences. These work opportunities provide exposure to necessary skills for the future.
Another program that received a lot of attention from students was the animal care and training program. One of the representatives was holding a snake on his neck, and the other representative had a husky right beside her, drawing attention to what their program was all about.
The animal care and training program requires two years of training and experience in order for students to try to find a job in the animal care industry. Students combine classroom education with hands on experience at the Zoological Facility of The Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College.
Although there were many different career choices to learn about from the career fair, many students were able to engage in productive conversations. It was a great environment to be in, especially with friends and family.
Students were able to take advantage of the career fair and take their first steps into the future.
