As each week goes by, prices will be raised by five dollars. By Feb. 6, the day before the dance, all tickets will cost 125 dollars.
On that Saturday, the weather is expected to have a high temperature of around 63 degrees and a low temperature of around 50 degrees. The average humidity will most likely have a percent of about 66. It is recommended that all students bring either a hoodie or a jacket to keep themselves warm.
Many students are excited for this year’s winter formal dance as this event is an opportunity to engage in fun school activities while making memories with friends. A few months have gone by since the homecoming dance so now, students cannot wait to see what the winter formal will bring.
In the stressful midst of all the schoolwork and homework that needs to be done, winter formal provides scholars a night of happiness, appreciation, and entertainment. The dedicated staff members and volunteers work hard each and every year to make this school event a joyful day for everybody.
Emma Esparza (11) says “Winter break ended, and since then I’ve felt overwhelmed with all of my assignments. Since I wasn’t able to attend last year, it feels good to know that winter formal is only a few weeks away. I’m already excited about it because I want to take pictures and have a good time with all of my close friends.”
As always, there are certain rules that have to be followed to keep order and for everyone to have an enjoyable experience at winter formal. ANHS students must bring student identification because it is connected to the ticket for the dance.
Detentions and Saturday schools are required to be completed to go to winter formal. Bags and purses are not allowed and administration is going to breathalyze all students. The items that are forbidden to bring to the dance include gum, chapstick, mints, candy, tobacco, and alcohol.
Karla Davila (11) says “I think that these rules are important because it ensures that every student will be safe from any potential harm that could happen during the dance.”
Some other items that are not allowed into the dance are chains, liquids, perfume, glass, writing equipment, chargers, and outside food and water. Guests who are students under the age of 21 who do not attend ANHS may attend but a contract is needed to purchase a ticket.
From dance decorations to happy pictures with friends, winter formal is a time of celebration that honors both the students and the hard workers who put in the effort in the academic and social community of ANHS.
