As the Christmas season kicks in, the lights come up and Aliso Niguel students get into the holiday spirit, the Starbucks Holiday menu is released, exciting students and teachers all over Aliso. There are so many unique options, and there is something on the menu for everyone.
A fan favorite returning this season is the Peppermint Mocha, made with either dark or white chocolate. Served hot, iced or blended, the unique mix of chocolate and peppermint adds a fresh kick to the season. This is one of Starbucks’ most popular holiday items, and it adds the perfect touch to the holidays.
Another popular item making its comeback is the Sugar Cookie Latte. Topped with a sugar cookie cold foam, along with red and green sprinkles, tastes like a fresh cookie that anybody would enjoy. Enjoyed hot, iced or blended, this delicious and fun drink adds a little extra holiday cheer to the day.
The Gingerbread Chai, made with a unique blend of spices, has received a variety of different reviews. Topped with a gingerbread cold foam and cinnamon, the flavors have not been everyone’s favorite. While many enjoy the taste of this drink, others do not like the combination of spices.
Jomana Atia (10) loves the Gingerbread Chai because “of the flavor, it has cinnamon and I like a lot of cinnamon.”
One more drink making its return this holiday season is the Caramel Brulee Latte. Topped with whipped cream and a caramel crunch topping, this drink is the perfect choice for those with a sweet tooth. This is another very popular drink, attracting the interest of those who love sweet drinks.
Despite there being many incredible drink options, there are a number of unique food options as well. The Snowman Cookie, a fan favorite, makes its return this holiday season. Shaped like a snowman, and decorated with icing, this fun cookie tastes great as it brings a little joy to the day.
It pairs very well with the Sugar Cookie Latte, because of the flavor of the cookie.
A new food item released this year is the Cinnamon Pull Apart Bread. Coated with a sweet cinnamon sugar, this sweet and festive treat has faced different feedback. Many enjoy the sweet combination of flavors, but many others do not like the taste or texture of the bread.
Another new food item is the Polar Bear Cake Pop. It has the same nostalgic taste as the classic Birthday Cake Pop, and is coated with white chocolate, decorated with icing to look like a cute Polar Bear.
Another classic making a comeback is the Sugar Plum Cheese Danish. With the unique combination of the Sugar Plum flavor and the cheese, this holiday pastry is a favorite among the fans of Starbucks.
One more popular food item returning is the Cranberry Bliss Bar. Topped with cranberries, this unique treat is another fan favorite.
Later on in the season, the long awaited Eggnog Latte and Chestnut Praline Latte will make their return. Both of these drinks, topped with spices, bring a little nostalgia to the holiday season.
There are so many amazing options to choose from this year’s holiday menu at Starbucks. Devika Anchana Karthik (10), a student at Aliso, said her favorite drink is the “Caramel Brulee Latte, because it is a little toasty and bitter, but it is nice and sweet.”
As it does every year, the Starbucks Holiday menu brings a lot of festivity and cheer to the holiday season. This season of Starbucks holiday drinks and food is going to be a great one!
