Aliso Viejo is going to have its very own Lucky Strike bowling alley coming to The Commons. Lucky Strike prides itself on its state-of-the-art lane-side service, comfortable seating, luxurious menu, extensive arcade and life-size video walls.
With The Commons being so close to Town Center, a favorite among students at Aliso, Lucky Strike seems to be coming to the right place and will quickly become a fan favorite among Aliso students.
Ivanna Khomenko (10) said, “I feel excited about the new bowling alley. I hope that, unlike the other ones, it will be fun, and there’ll also be other activities, maybe an arcade.”
The bowling alley is said to have 35 lanes, making it a pretty big bowling alley compared to others. The alley is said to have live entertainment and planned features such as blacklight bowling.
Matthew Kamrava (11) said, “I’m looking forward to striking out each turn. I feel like it’d turn into a local hotspot for students and friends.”
The Lucky Strike menu includes craft lemonades, shrimp tacos, herb truffle fries, Mike’s hot honey chicken sandwich, pizzas, double smashed burger, citrus salad, Mike’s hot honey pizza, drinks, and party platters containing chicken fingers, tater tots, pretzels, french fries, and chicken wings.
When asked what features would make her want to go to Lucky Strike more often, Khomenko says, “Maybe good food, also I really like when bowling alleys have retro decorations and just a really nice interior and atmosphere.”
The exact date of the opening has yet to be released, as for right now it is marked as “coming soon.”
Students such as Thora Middleton (11) are excited to go to Lucky Strikes, saying, “I really like bowling ever since I was little. It’s always been fun to go hang out with family and friends and all have a good time together. It’s fun to be a little competitive, but still just relax and enjoy hanging out.”
Khomenko believes students will visit this alley frequently, saying, “I think that it really depends on whether students are excited to go there. I think yes, if it’s somewhere around the area, and if it looks nice, and also reasonable prices, people may go there after school.”
Khomenko goes on to say, “I think that, honestly, all different kinds of activities outside of school are valued. I’m all about the hype, no matter what place it is. I think it is always a great opportunity to connect with other people.”
Sofia Gonzalez (9) said, “The bowling alley will give students new activity options so that they can do different things from what people do in the area now.”
The bowling alley will give students a chance to make new memories with their friends at Lucky Strike.
Gonzalez says, “I enjoy bowling, but I would not visit Lucky Strikes often unless my friends want to go bowling.”
Middleton said, “I’m really excited to have a new place to hang out with friends. It’ll be nice to do something different instead of always going to the mall or just staying in.”
Gonzalez goes on to say, “Since there are going to be a lot of people going to Lucky Strike, they will interact, bringing people in our community together.”
Students at Aliso are eager for the bowling alley to open; they are excited to show off their bowling skills and have a fun place to hang out with their friends. Lucky Strike will hopefully bring a lively atmosphere to the Aliso Viejo Commons, along with the opportunity to bring people in our community together.
