The year 2026 marks 47 years since the revolution of Iran in 1979, in which Ayatollah Khomeini took the place of the king of Iran, otherwise known as the Shah.
The 47 years represent almost five decades of oppression, struggle and yearning for freedom.
Ayutullah Khomeini hijacked the country and enforced a tyranny in which he made the religion of Islam mandatory for all to follow. The regime has slaughtered thousands for not being muslim and has records of beating and killing women and young teenage girls for not wearing proper hijab, despite their religious and personal beliefs.
The regime has made billions of profit from Iran’s natural resources, and by selling and stealing such valuable entities, it has led the country and all people into poverty.
Iranians have attempted to protest many times, and in all times they have been shut down by the government’s cruel mass killings and executions.
The most recent protest was initiated on Dec 31. of 2025, when people who had had enough of their struggles rose in groups and called for the return of the Shah and the exile of the cruel regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Iranians begged the world to listen to them and hear their struggles, and successfully reached the exiled Shah’s son, Reza Pahlavi, who, in support of the people of his nation, sent out national uprising dates for the people to unite and successfully be able to start a new revolution.
Jan. 8 and Jan. 9 in Iran, as called by the exiled Shah’s son, were among the most successful uprisings of modern history and brought millions of people into the streets. But unfortunately, the cruel, tyrannical regime shut off all internet and murdered over 36 thousand people in the timespan of two executive nights.
The injured who were rushed to the hospitals were killed by the hospital entrance doors, and the doctors who rushed to help the injured were taken into custody.
The 36 thousand people included all ages, from 80-year-old men and women, to many infants and small children, such as a three-year-old girl who was shot in the head. The majority of the population consisted of teenagers, from ages 13-18, who had been tired of dealing with poverty, suppression and the lack of freedom to the point of sacrificing their loves for the possibility of freedom.
The real issue, however, begins where about 36 thousand humans were slaughtered and brutally murdered while the United Nations kept quiet.
But why is it the United Nations that donated billions of dollars to Palestine for ‘crimes against humanity’ after the death of palestinians including militants, in numbers is less than the innocent Iranians, but rather in the span of three years, compared to the two days in Iran where they were treated so warmly with support and empathy while the world remained quiet about Iran.
The real question is, why is there hypocrisy when it comes to crimes against Humanity? If the UN’s real concern is brutality against humanity, then why are only some of the people of the world considered humans to the UN?
The Islamic Republic has killed more people in a shorter amount of time than Palestine has.
Why isn’t the UN acting according to its bylaws? Although there is an obvious dictatorship acting against its own people, why isn’t the UN intervening? Is it fear? Or does it tie back to allies? There is food delivered to the Palestinians and not to starving people in Iran struggling with poverty caused by the rule of the Islamic regime. So the question is, why not the Iranian people? Do they matter less, or do you like the ones responsible?
