Timothee Chalamet is expected to win Best Actor for his incredible performance as Bob Dylan in the biopic A Complete Unknown, which captures the artist’s past life in the 1960s.
For those who enjoy animation, there is a tight competition regarding the Animated Feature nominations. Up for consideration, many would agree it is between Flow, Inside Out 2, and The Wild Robot, all being emotional movies to many capturing heart-warming and touching stories for many families to enjoy.
In Best Visual Effects, public opinions agree the competition rests against Dune: Part Two, Alien: Romulus, and Kingdom of Planet of the Apes, acknowledging their wise use of CGI and visual effects looking more realistic than most films. With the mix of puppets, animatronics, and makeup, Alien: Romulus is seen to blow these films out of the water, embracing its thriller title and making the most out of old technology to create the same realistic horror the original 1979 film embraced.
The most anticipated nominations rest in the Best Picture category, listing both known and well-known films from 2024 alike. Some people expect to win, including A Complete Unknown, The Substance, Dune: Part Two, and Wicked.
