The new class of 2025 merch designs were revealed over the summer and include new shirts and sweatshirts with special designs.
For t-shirts, there are two new designs in various colors such as teal, red and black. The teal shirt has the word “Aliso” in an oval across the chest, with “Aliso Niguel High School” on the back. Another shirt design says “Aliso 2enior 5zn” with two sparkles under the text.
For sweatshirts, they are available in black or gray and have two different designs on them. One design says “Aliso” in an oval on the top left, and the other design has the “Aliso 2enior 5zn” design.
Created by the Associated Student Body, these new designs appeal to trendy designs, such as sparkles, and aim to display school spirit.
Aeryn Garrick (12) shared that the new designs “are kinda cool, the teal and white are a little hard on the eyes. But the other pieces are quite cute, I would probably wear them, they look comfortable.”
Irfan Navsariwala (12) also had positive notes: “I think the senior merch looks great. I love the variety and how many choices there are to choose from. I also really like how you can wear it when it’s hot or cold since it’s a long sleeve and short sleeve.”
The designs were first shared on the ASB Instagram page over the summer, and were available for purchase during registration.
Devyn Diggs (12), noted that the designs “look about the same as they always do, but I like the font. I haven’t seen anyone wearing it so that’s a little disappointing.”
The new merch designs were a hit at registration as students could purchase in-person and browse other ANHS merchandise. A common misconception regarding the senior merch is that it is associated with the ANHS student store across from the front office. Senior merch is completely run by ASB and is not sold through the student store. However, the student store is another great place to check out school-related items.
Anika Chandran (12) shared, “I think the incorporation of the number 25 in ‘Aliso Senior Season’ is very clever! I also like the sparkles on the sweatshirt. I think the designs are very innovative when it comes to showing off school spirit without incorporating the wolverine. I think it would be hard to have appealing merch with a picture of the wolverine.”
Regardless of the designs, these clothing items can serve as a powerful reminder of our senior year long after we graduate. Whether it’s the colors, fonts, or text, these t-shirts and sweatshirts document our school spirit and will allow us to carry a piece of our senior year into the future.
