Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and the holiday has left some indecisive on picking the perfect gift for their significant other.
Like every other year, Valentine’s Day is on Feb. 14, a beautiful day when tensions are high and love is in the air.
Many couples and friends are arranging gifts for each other, but some are still deciding on their perfect gift. The “perfect” gift could vary from person to person because everyone has their own preferences.
Carson Kennedy (12) believes the perfect gift for his girlfriend Janelle Enriquez (12) is a bouquet of flowers. It is a simple but effective gift that will make anyone content.
Although Valentine’s Day is about giving, it doesn’t mean the size of the gift is how much they love you. The gift should just be a part and their affection should be shown through their actions.
Jackson Geiger (12) says, “This Valentine’s Day I am going to take my girlfriend out to dinner. I’m not too sure about the restaurant, but I want to treat her to something nice.”
Most people say that their favorite gift they have ever received was flowers or a Valentine’s Day teddy bear. Though some say they have never received a gift from anyone.
Karson Brunke (10) and Aryan Arora (10) both believe that the perfect gift for anyone would be a flower and a meaningful note. They believe that the meaning behind the gift is more important than what it actually is.
Karson says, “This is the first year I’m with my girlfriend and I want to make it a meaningful one since it’s our first. I am going to get her favorite flowers and write a meaningful card about my time with her and how much I appreciate her.”
Karson’s girlfriend is Zoe Smith (10), they have been together for a couple of months and Karson is very excited for Valentine’s Day so he can give her a memorable gift.
Although Valentine’s is mostly for couples, Austin Ceiley (10) plans on gifting his friend Tyler Bird (10) protein powder.
Austin says, “Tyler has been looking a bit skinny lately so I am going to give him some protein powder. I am not dating him but I feel like giving gifts to my friends on Valentine’s is totally fine.”
Like Austin, Zach Cho (10) plans on gifting all of his friends some chocolates and plans to hang out with them on Valentine’s Day.
Zach states, “Most of my friends don’t have a Valentine this year so I think we are just going to hang out over the weekend at Spectrum or something like that.”
Though most students don’t have a significant other to spend Valentine’s with, students still have their opinion on what is the perfect gift.
Shahab Touski (11) says, “In my opinion, I think the perfect gift for me would be a Formula One hoodie because I love cars. But if I were to give something to someone I think the perfect gift would probably be lipstick or some chocolate.”
Although the “perfect gift” varies from person to person, what matters most is about the meaning behind the gift and how much affection you show to make your person feel special.
