The Merced Police hasn’t disclosed how the family died but did note that the family had been killed on the spot and were dead before the Police were alerted that they were missing.

“We got information from the suspect, we are going to keep that close to our chest at this point,” said Warnke.

On Tuesday, the 4th of October, it was reported that someone used one of the victims’ credit card in Atwater, California, which is 9 miles away from Merced. It is still unknown who used the credit card.

“Investigators obtained the surveillance photo of a subject making a bank transaction where the person is similar in appearance to the surveillance photo from the original kidnapping scene,” stated the sheriff’s office.

Both of the Salgado brothers are currently going to be at the Merced County Jail.
