For students all around Aliso Niguel, the coming of fall means the starting up of school, sports and getting back into a structured daily routine. The school year is in full swing. Sports, clubs and extracurricular activities are filling up students’ calendars.
After a laid-back summer, there is something refreshing about getting back into a solid routine and seeing all of your friends after a few months apart.
Fall brings about a satisfying change in the weather, going from hot and sunny to cool and slightly cloudy. It brings better weather for sports, providing a nice environment for athletes to play in. The soft sunlight and the cool breeze give students a fresh boost of energy throughout the day.
Naomi Christian (10) says that “Fall is the best season because it exemplifies calmness and relaxation due to the cold and comforting weather.”
Christian, along with others at Aliso Niguel, understand and appreciate the benefits that fall brings students. The cooler weather contributes to practices being more enjoyable. It helps students focus and connect with each other, making their school days better.
The cooler weather gives students a cozy vibe inside of the classroom and out. Teachers are decorating their classrooms, getting into the cozy fall spirit. This small touch helps students relax and get back into the zone of learning.
Brooke Mendoza (10) says that “Fall is the coziest season because you get to wear cute, warm clothes.”
As the temperatures drop, so do the student’s desires to wear shorts and tank tops. They transition from summer clothes to pants and sweaters, fitting right in with the cozy vibes that fall brings to the school.
Jomana Atia (10) says that, “Fall is the best season because it leads to Halloween and Thanksgiving, which are some of the best holidays out of the year.”
One of the most significant reasons as to why fall is the best season is because of the Halloween, a very well known and enjoyed holiday for Aliso Niguel students. Students planning out what their costumes are going to be, where they are going to trick-or-treat and what candy they are hoping to get brings joy to Aliso Niguel students and gives them another opportunity to connect with each other and make fun memories.
As the wonderful season of fall wraps up, Thanksgiving offers an opportunity to spend quality time with family and make new memories that will last a lifetime. This holiday’s focus on family and warmth perfectly mirrors the comforting vibe of fall. At Aliso Niguel, many clubs utilize a chance to give back to those in need, participating in fundraisers and food drives.
