On Friday, Oct. third, Aliso Niguel’s halftime show against our rival team Dana Hills, wasn’t just a performance- it was a celebration of school spirit, talent and teamwork.
The Dance Appreciation and Dance team both worked together to choreograph an inspiring performance.
According to Avah Parsi (12), Captain of the DA team, “It took us about two weeks to prepare the blocking, which is all the formations and effects and then combine it with the dance team.”
Dance Appreciation took the spotlight with a routine that blended elegance, emotion and determination. The dancers moved in perfect harmony, captivating the electric crowd with their expressive choreography.
Parsi claims, “It was nice to see everyone cheering for us; it seemed like people enjoyed the performance.”
Some difficulties happened before the performance because of some prop issues for the Color Guard team and some minor adjustments to the floor lines on the field for the dancers, but all was fixed and the performers worked together, better than ever to give the audience an unforgettable performance.
The Color Guard added a dynamic element to the showcase, with spinning flags, bold formations and synchronized movement. With each toss and twirl, the Color Guard amplified the energy of the halftime show.
Color Guard performer, Rajhee Subedi (12) says, ”Lots of practice and hours put into it with harder dance work and music is more complex.”
Our school’s talented Dance team lit up the firelight with a dynamic routine that blended emotionally well with the other performers. Every step from the dance team drew cheers from the unified crowd and applause from the sidelines. Flawless formations and expressive moves proved the dance team’s months of practice were worth every second.
The school’s show stealing marching band set the tone for the halftime show with a bold, coordinated performance. From brass to woodwinds, the band brought rhythm and intensity that anchored the entire show. Led by our very own drum major the band moved in perfect unison keeping the energy high from the first to the last bridge.
Our exclusive drumline delivered a powerful performance that echoed the field’s energy into the crowd. Every beat from the drumline added intensity and cheers driving the momentum of the entire performance.
The memorable halftime show was a true collaboration – choreographed moves matched with powerful drumline beats and bold melodies. The audience was completely awed and overjoyed with the performance.
Josie Luvello (12), who was in the energized crowd says, “The show was a ten out of ten in my opinion.”
The halftime show was more than just a performance- it was a celebration of talent, teamwork and school pride. From the dance team to the band and drumline, every group brought energy and passion to the field, leaving the crowd cheering and the night unforgettable.
