As the Boys Cross Country season begins to stride, we can see the different challenges and expectations we have for our Aliso Niguel Boys Cross Country Team. Led by Coach Walsh and Assistant Coach Silberman, we can identify many hardships that the boys have to go through following the new 2025–26 season.
The Boys Cross Country Team has started this season amazingly by getting placed first place at the Woodbridge Invitational Meet, with their top runners Parker McAdam (12), Karson Brunke (12) and Eddie Hocking (12) running excellent times this past meet.
The training this week for Cross Country has been very successful due to them improving their times and being able to get ready for the invitational coming up on the weekend.
Runner Jasper Crowther-Townsend (10) says, “The Varsity Cross Country squad got a podium finish at Woodbridge and are hoping to do the same if not better.”
Here, the Boys team ended up placing 4th which is a very good placement especially due to the hard competition at the meet. At the race, all of the boys gave it their all with their best runners doing very well as well as all of the other junior, sophomore, and freshman runners placing and running very fast times and placing well due to the elevated and hilly terrain that they ran in.
Their next upcoming race is the Central Park Invitational, located in Huntington Beach, where there are over 100 teams competing, so it is going to be tough for the Boys and Girls Cross country teams to pull off a good result. They are training very hard every day running miles around Aliso Niguel to pull off a good result.
Based on the beginning of the season, the Boys Cross Country team is off to very good starts placing very well in all of their past 4 races. At this pace, Aliso Niguel are able to show the start off to a great and upcoming season with a lot of talent to be able to perform at the top level and division and with their hard work and consistent top placements as well as a very strong and athletic group of returning runners the team has been able to develop in depth and experience making it being able to show their strong finishes coming up ahead later in the season.
As the season progresses, the Cross Country team is only just beginning to find their stride and they have basically already shown the amount of potential they have for the upcoming season due to their experience runners and top placements in past meets, this 2025–26 season is going to be one to remember.
