Music to Look Out For
This year has been one long rollercoaster for everyone. One thing that has been keeping people going is music. A lot of artists have been inspired to write, produce, and release new songs planned or unplanned. Some are inspired by the pandemic as well, so let’s get into new music and music to look out for.
On Nov. 20, 2020, BTS dropped their album BE. On the album there are eight records, one being their biggest song, Dynamite. Many of their fans were expecting the album to be very emotional as it is about the boy’s feelings during the pandemic.
One artist you should look out for is the english artist YUNGBLUD with his second album weird!. There are 12 tracks, five already have been released. His songs “cotton candy,” “strawberry lipstick,” “mars,” “god save me, but don’t drown me out,” and “weird!” The whole album will be released on Dec. 4, 2020.
Earlier this month, on Nov. 13, Billie Eilish dropped the song Therefore I Am. It is an alternative song about people who hate on her and get attention from it.
Another anticipated album is from the boy band Why Don’t We. Their album The Good Times and The Bad Ones comes out on Jan. 15, 2021. There are ten tracks on the album and they have released one song from the album called “Fallin’.”
Talking about music, the AMA’s happened over Thanksgiving break. The Weekend, Dan+Shay, BTS, Megan Thee Stallion and more took home awards. There were also performances by Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber, BTS, Megan Thee Stallion, Dua Lipa, and many more.
Also Grammy Nominees got announced over the break. The Grammy’s will be on Jan. 31, 2021. BTS and Megan Thee Stallion got their first ever Grammy Nominations ever. Dua Lipa and Talor Swift are running for the most nominations.
Many people felt that The Weekend got cheated out because he did not get nominated for anything, even though that he did have one of the most popular albums of the year. People have mixed feelings about Justin Bieber’s nominations after he took to Instagram to talk about the nominations.
Be on the lookout for these artists and their music as their songs climb the charts.
