Since fall has officially arrived, there are many upcoming events to attend with friends and family. Pumpkin City’s Pumpkin Farm in Laguna Niguel opens on Oct. 1 with games, food, rides and other fun attractions.
There is free parking available and many pumpkins to pick out for Halloween decorations. For the little kids in the community, there are puppets and plays with a little theater and on some days, there are music festivals!
At the Aliso Viejo Community Association’s Fall Harvest Festival, there is a costume parade as well as trick-or-treating while exploring the local hiking trails in the Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park.
In addition to the pumpkin farm, the YMCA has an annual haunted pathway for people to enjoy. As it is suitable for almost all ages, many people show up to this event every year to experience with their families firsthand. Many students from our school volunteer as tour guides or scare actors, so it is not uncommon to see a familiar face.
Many high school students go to local farmers markets to take pictures with their friends. It is a great way to welcome the autumn aesthetic on social media.
Emma Esparza (11) says, “I love watching horror movies and going to haunted houses with my friends on Halloween.”
Haunted Trails in Laguna Niguel has also been a very popular attraction throughout the years for elementary school students, middle school students and even high school students, offering a family-friendly experience with many scare actors in a haunted maze, telling ghost stories along the way in order to enhance the experience.
Taryn Jepsen (11) says, “I love apple picking.”
The most popular attraction that most people look forward to is Knott’s Scary Farm in Buena Park, California. It is the longest-running and most haunting Halloween theme park event in Southern California with corn mazes, food, shows, rides and much more!
