Aliso Niguel High School’s Coloring Club was founded in 2025 by Tiger Lilee Flores (11). She created the club because she “[wanted] to make a difference at her school by helping people relax through the hobby of coloring.”
Currently, the club is run by President Tiger Lilee Flores and Vice President Emma Esparanza (11), with Secretary Karla Davila (11) and Treasurer Ridima Kazi (11).
One key aspect of Coloring Club is to create cards for people in need, such as senior citizens and hospitalized children with chronic illness. The club fosters a safe environment and boasts creativity through the cards it produces.
Last year, the club was able to produce over 100 cards and distribute them across the county to different people. This alone is an achievement, but Coloring Club doesn’t stop there. President Flores says, “It’s so beautiful to see all the students in the club come together at meetings and unwind, especially during finals season and other rough times during the school year”.
This school year, the club had over 50 students sign up to be a part of the club. Treasurer Kazi says she “looks forward to seeing all the new faces this year and watching students fall in love with coloring,” the same way she did when she joined the club.
The club meeting times are currently undecided for this school year, but they plan to meet in Ms. Lusar’s classroom, Room 504. At these meetings, students can expect to receive a coloring sheet and supplies to express their creativity. During the meetings, President Flores will often discuss the benefits of coloring and using it as a relaxation mechanism.
