Boys Golf: The Aliso Niguel Boys’ Golf team started off their season strong, defeating San Clemente 198-190. They finished 2nd in their league, with a record of 8-1. They had an overall record of 12-5 this season
Boys Tennis: Boys Tennis finished last in league with a record 0-6. Their first league game was against Beckman, where they lost 18-0. Their final league game was against Tesoro, where Aliso lost 14-4. The team went 3-11-1 overall, defeating El Toro, Laguna Hills and Mater Dei.
Track and Field: ANHS Track and Field began their season at the Irvine Invite on March 8 at Irvine High School. They competed in the South Coast League Finals on Friday, May 2, where Aliso finished 2nd in both mens and womens track. 20 ANHS track and field athletes in total qualified for CIF. They competed at the CIF preliminary round on Saturday, May 10.
Boys Volleyball: The ANHS Boys’ Volleyball team kicked off their season in the Portola Tournament on February 17. They finished 4th in their league, with a record of 0-7. They had an overall record of 6-18, and are ranked 217 in California. Their last game was against Trabuco Hills, where they lost with a score of 3-2.
Girls Beach Volleyball: Girls Beach Volleyball played their first game of the season on Tuesday, Feb. 11 against Santa Margarita, where Aliso sadly lost 0-5. However, they won their next game against Marina with a score of 3-2. Beach Volleyball had a league record of 1-7, and an overall record of 7-13. Beach Volleyball’s last game of the season took place on Thursday, April 3, where they unfortunately lost to San Clemente 1-4.
Softball: ANHS Softball placed 4th in their league, with a record of 3-5. They had an overall record of 14-13-1, and are ranked 141 in the state. Unfortunately, the girls’ season ended with a 3-2 loss to Capistrano Valley.
Baseball: The Aliso Niguel Baseball Team finished 2nd place in league, with a record of 9-3, and an overall record of 22-6. They finished 53 in California, and will be playing in their first round of CIF on Thursday, May 15 against Arcadia at 3:15 p.m.
Girls Lacrosse: The ANHS Girls’ Lacrosse team finished 2nd in league, with a record of 7-1. They made it to the Semi-finals of CIF division III, where they lost to Trabuco Hills, with a score of 14-4.
Boys Lacrosse: The ANHS Boys’ Lacrosse team finished 2nd in their league, with a record of 7-1. They had an overall record of 17-3, and are ranked 21 in California. Boys’ Lacrosse has continued to play into the postseason, winning their latest game against St. John Bosco 15-10. They played their semi-final game of CIF division II against San Clemente on Tuesday, May 13, where they unfortunately lost 5-0.
Boys Swimming and Diving: Boys Swim finished 3rd overall in their league. They had multiple athletes compete in the CIF division I dive meet on Thursday, May 1. They also had multiple athletes move on to the next round, competing at Mt. SAC on Wednesday, May 7.
Girls Swimming and Diving: Girls Swim finished 4th overall in their league. They had nine athletes qualify for CIF, and five athletes moved on to the final round. The girls ended 7th overall in CIF.
