On Wednesday, June 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Coto de Caza Country Club, seniors will gather for a final celebration at Senior Brunch before graduation. Tickets are $45 and there will be an open setting available for the students attending.
Senior Brunch will help bring the Class of 2025 to come together and celebrate their accomplishments over the past four years at Aliso Niguel High School. Guests or seniors attending will enjoy a buffet-style lunch or The Fairways Lunch Buffet.
The menu will include fresh seasonal fruit, house-made potato chips and a variety of salads such as California orange salad with baby mixed greens, mandarin oranges, glazed walnuts, crispy wontons, blue cheese crumble and white balsamic dressing–as well as chilled fusilli pasta with grilled garden vegetables, tomatoes, parmigiano reggiano and red wine vinaigrette.
Entrees will include chicken caesar salad wraps and turkey pesto croissants with lettuce, tomato and cheddar cheese. Dessert options include brownies and fresh-baked cookies. Beverages will include water and iced tea.
Attendees are encouraged to dress up to fit the country club atmosphere, with floral dresses and button-up polos being recommended. For activities at the senior brunch, there will be photo booths available for students.
As of now there is an uncertain amount of seniors who will attend the turnout as there is still a few weeks before the event is hosted.
“The number of seniors attending the senior brunch is still to be determined,” says Kristy Kim (12).
Some students have opted out of the event altogether.
“I am not going to the senior brunch and neither are my friends, or my friend Diana Ghassemiyeh (12),” said Nancy Millan (12).
Despite some students deciding to not attend, the organizers still hope the event will allow for unity and be a memorable send-off before graduation.
Leadership students and parent volunteers have worked for weeks to help plan the brunch. From menu planning to the designing of decor and the organization of the seating chart, many people have worked to make it a positive experience. In addition to food and entertainment, students can look forward to the photo booth, decorations and a chance to look back with fellow classmates.
Brunch is set to be the emotional closure, when seniors will gather together as a group one final time, before heading off onto different paths.
