The Aliso Niguel boys lacrosse team went up against Mission Viejo High School at home on March 25. Both teams consistently played the ball, always fighting for the lead.
Aliso showed resilience and determination throughout the match, making key plays and capitalizing on their scoring opportunities. Their defense held strong against Mission Viejo’s advances, ensuring that they maintained control of the game. In the end, Aliso prevailed with a solid 9-5 victory, securing another home win.
Aliso faced off against Canyon High School at home on March 20. Right from the start, the team was aggressive, consistently being the first to attack and set the pace for the game.
The match saw many tradeoffs between both teams, but Aliso managed to stay ahead, demonstrating their skill and teamwork. With well-executed plays and strong defensive efforts, they secured a decisive win with a final score of 9-4.
On March 18, Aliso played Tesoro High School at home in what turned out to be a highly competitive match. Both teams were relentless, constantly fighting for control of the ball while working hard to protect their goals.
The game remained tight, with both teams displaying solid defensive strategies that kept the score low. However, Aliso found an opening and capitalized on their opportunities, ultimately emerging victorious with a narrow 4-3 win, edging out their opponent by just one point.
Aliso played an away game against Trabuco Hills High School on March 13. The team demonstrated exceptional coordination and offensive strategy, allowing them to gain a significant lead early on.
Their teamwork and persistence paid off as they continued to dominate the field, nearly tripling their opponent’s score. The Wolverines finished the game strong, securing an impressive 14-5 win, further solidifying their standing in the league.
Two days earlier, on March 11, Aliso took on Mission Viejo High School once again, this time on their opponent’s home turf. The Wolverines came out strong, quickly gaining possession of the ball and setting the tempo for the game.
They maintained their lead for the majority of the match, executing well-planned plays and keeping Mission Viejo on the defensive. Their relentless effort resulted in a commanding 17-2 victory, proving their strength on both offense and defense.
On March 7, Aliso played an away game against Vista Murrieta High School. The match was a test of endurance and strategy, as both teams put up a strong fight. Aliso remained focused and played with intensity until the final moments, ultimately securing another victory.
The team demonstrated their ability to adapt and respond to the challenges posed by their opponents, finishing with a 14-8 win and adding another success to their record.
Aliso went up against Servite High School on Feb. 25. Servite was seen as a challenge which the team took head on. It was a close game for both teams as they consistently fought to have the game at their play. Aliso prevailed in the end with a one goal difference of 10-9.
Captain Rami Dakak (12) states, “The best game we’ve played so far is probably against Servite cause we were not supposed to win, we were the underdogs, but we played really hard and ended up beating them.”
The Aliso Niguel lacrosse team still has a few more league games ahead, facing off against San Clemente High School, Tesoro High School, Trabuco Hills High School, and Santiago High School. These upcoming matches will be crucial as the team looks to maintain their momentum and improve their standing within the league.
Captain Irving Pincus (12) states, “The team at the moment is clicking really well, we’re looking forward to San Clemente for a league title.”
Overall, with all the games played so far, Aliso holds an impressive record of 11-2. Within the league, the team is currently placed second, boasting an undefeated league record of 4-0.
