Wolverine + is a 40-minute class period that gives students a chance to catch up on work, take tests they missed, study, or just hang out with friends.
Ella D’lima (10), says “I usually go to math for W+ because the environment is great for working and before any tests I’m able to ask the teacher questions.”
D’lima also adds, “I think Wolverine + is particularly useful for studying, asking questions, and makeup work.”
When asked about the self-scheduling system through Enriching Students, D’lima says, “I think that some classes should be open to all students in that class type.”
Students in Honors Algebra should be able to go to whichever teacher they want for Honors Algebra, because teachers all have different ways of teaching, and some ways are better for certain people.
D’lima adds, “Additionally, some teachers don’t answer questions thoroughly or don’t put a lot of effort towards it, as a result, it’s harder for students with that teacher to get the help they need.”
Eva Belyaeva (10), says, “I believe that if you have a sport or a lack of freetime it is extremely important to have Wolverine +, sometimes even just to sleep.”
Emily Mason (10) says, “I usually go to Mrs. Zhou’s class because it is quietish…I think Wolverine plus is useful for studying and it’s a nice break from being in class… and it’s enough time, not too long and not too short.”
For many students, a 40 minute period is a perfect length to get work done or just take a break.
Mason adds, “It would be nice to be able to go to different classes outside of your schedule, visit old teachers and spend time with friends, but I understand why you can only go to certain classes because it would become very chaotic pretty quickly.”
When asked about Enriching Students, Mason says, “Enriching students works, sometimes the login doesn’t work which is annoying when I want to check where I am scheduled last minute.”
Olivia Trieu (10) says, “I really like Enriching Students and find it really easy especially using the quick schedule button.”
Belyaeva adds “Enriching Students is probably the most effective way to sign up for Wolverine +, myself and others would likely forget otherwise.”
There are some mixed opinions on the Enriching Students method of scheduling, overall it is a nice way for students to schedule their Wolverine + and plan out their week.
