Aliso Niguel High School’s Dancing with the Soccer Stars is an annual performance by the dance team and the three levels of the boys soccer team.
The performance is done by one member of the girls dance team and two members of the boys soccer team with which they perform a short dance choreography. This year’s girls dance team captains are Allie Hindsvark and Celeste Cohen who will be leading the practices and preparing for their performance.
Last year on Jan 31, marked the first ever Dancing With the Soccer stars performance at the Aliso Niguel High school, which gained a lot of popularity by the students and families.
In addition to providing entertainment, the yearly performance generates funds for the Dance team and Boys soccer team through the votes collected from the audience. Each vote costs one dollar, and voters can cast multiple votes for various groups. The group that receives the highest number of votes will ultimately be declared the winner.
The dancers and soccer players started their practice with their teammates on Friday Jan 10, giving them a little less than three weeks to practice and prepare for their performance.
Allie Hinsvark spoke on this, “we are so excited to start practice because it is always so fun to spend time with each other and prepare for the upcoming performance.”
