The year 2025 is bringing back the movie business due to the hundreds of movies coming to theaters this year. The audiences are ready for them all, but they are most excited for these 10 movies.
Starting on Feb. 14, we have “Captain America: Brave New World.” This film stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Willson who is the new Captain America.
According to IMDb, the movie is about Sam discovering a new nefarious global threat that needs to be eliminated before the whole world starts seeing red.
Many Marvel fans are ecstatic for this new Captain America movie since Captain America has not appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the Disney+ show, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”
On March 21, a live action “Snow White” film is coming to theaters. This movie stars Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen.
The film will be a realistic, musical version of the original “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” but somehow viewers do not know how to feel about the adaptation. Most of the confusion came from interviews in previous years where Zegler spoke badly on the original tale of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”
According to Comic Book Resources, “Zegler criticized Disney’s potentially problematic portrayal of princesses and women in positions of power while noting how the film scared her as a child only added fuel to the fire.”
Despite all the controversy surrounding this film, many Disney fans are excited for Snow White’s return on the big screen.
Following “Snow White,” “A Minecraft Movie” is hitting the theaters on April 4. Many Minecraft fans, new and old, are excited to see how they will transform the beloved video game into a film.
The film stars Jack Black as Steve, and many other supporting actors like Jason Momoa, Emma Myers and Jennifer Coolidge. With a cast like that, viewers are interested in if this film will actually be good, or if it will be satire.
Once summer hits, the theaters will be picturing tons of movies. One of those movies will be a live-action adaptation of “How to Train Your Dragon,” which will be released on June 13.
The original film is loved by many people, young and old, due to its fantasy aspects and beautiful plot. The adaptation will star Mason Thames as Hiccup and Nico Parker as Astrid.
People are expecting a lot from this movie, so hopefully it will live up to their expectations.
Also in June, theaters will be releasing “F1” and “M3gan 2.0.” On June 25 “F1” will come to the theater, while “M3gan 2.0” can be seen in theaters on June 27.
According to Motorsport.com, “F1” “follows Pitt as Sonny Hayes, an ex-F1 driver who makes a surprise return to the grid years after suffering a horrible crash.”
On the other hand, “M3gan 2.0” is a horror film that follows the first “M3gan” released in January 2023. There is not much known about the film except that M3gan will be making a return.
“Jurassic World: Rebirth” will be in theaters on July 2, and will be the fourth Jurassic World film in the franchise. The film stars Jonathon Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis and Scarlett Johansson as Zora Bennett.
On Sept. 5, “The Conjuring: The Last Rites” will be released in theaters just in time to get watchers into the Halloween spirit. This film stars Vera Farminga as Lorraine Warren and Patrick Wilson as Ed Warren as they tackle one last paranormal case.
“Wicked: For Good” is arguably the most anticipated film in 2025. The first one, which came out in November 2024, was a big hit in the box office. Many are thrilled that the last film will be coming out this year.
This film stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Arianna Grande as Glinda. In addition to those two leading roles, the cast stars the same actors who are in the first film.
“Wicked: For Good” will be in theaters on Nov. 21, making that weekend a big one for the movie theaters.
The last big movie for 2025 will be “Avatar: Fire and Ash” which will hit theaters on Dec. 19. The film will continue to star Zoe Saldana as Neytiri and Sam Worthington as Jake Sully.
There has not been much released about the film, but it is expected to be an epic sequel to “Avatar: The Way of Water.”
2025 is a big year for movies and these movies should draw mass audiences into theaters to watch these films as they are released throughout the year.
