The Aliso Niguel Boys Soccer team started its official season on Dec. 2 and currently has a record of three wins, three losses and six ties.
Their first game was against Dana Hills which unfortunately ended in a loss of 4 to 1. Their next two games against Fountain Valley and Sonora were wins going 2 to 0 and 4 to 1 respectively.
On Dec. 9, the Aliso Boys tied 0 to 0 against Servite and, just two days later, tied against Laguna Beach, going 1 to 1. The next three games are their last three non-League games of the season going against Santa Margarita, Foothill and El Toro.
Unfortunately, they lost 1 to 0 against Santa Margarita and tied against Foothill 1 to 1. After their 18-day hiatus for Winter Break on Jan. 4 they faced off against El Toro where they would go on to tie again going 3 to 3.
On Jan. 8 the Aliso Boys started their South Coast League games where they are currently in third place. San Juan Hills comes in at first having a record with three wins and just one tie, not far after is San Clemente with three wins and one loss.
Then Aliso at one win, one loss, and two ties, followed by Mission Viejo going one win and three losses. Lastly is Capistrano Valley in fifth and has a record of zero wins, three losses and one tie.
Aliso matched against San Juan Hills for their first game with a very close and exciting game ending in a tie of 2 to 2. Next followed with a win against Mission Viejo 3 to 1 on Jan. 10.
On Jan. 13, Aliso tied against Capistrano Valley 1 to 1, then four days later lost 2 to 0 against San Clemente. Aliso has just four more games to go against the same four League opponents in the same order.
Aliso Niguel is set to play San Juan Hills on Jan. 22, Mission Viejo on Jan. 24, Capistrano Valley on Jan. 29 and lastly San Clemente on Feb. 3.
Aliso’s chance of coming back to their league is very slim as the first two places have two more wins than Aliso, but there is hope still if Aliso manages to win all of their next games.
