Aliso Niguel High School seniors are preparing for their June 5, 2025 graduation by purchasing their caps and gowns online through the Jostens store before the deadline on Dec. 22, 2024.
Students have been notified via Canvas and email to complete their purchases. They are directed to the Aliso Niguel High School website, where they can navigate to the graduation tab and follow a link to the Jostens store page.
On the Jostens website, students and parents can choose from a variety of packages, including class rings, spirit wear and jackets. Alternatively, they may also purchase the $25 cap-and-gown set required for the graduation ceremony.
All seniors are required to purchase a black gown online, regardless of their grade point average (GPA). Once final GPA distinctions are determined, students with a GPA above 4.0 will swap their black gowns for white ones to recognize their academic achievements.
Claire Tanaka (12) says, “I have already purchased my cap and gown online, so I can be ready for graduation. Although, I’m still not sure what I’m going to wear under the gown.”
Underneath their caps and gowns, students are encouraged to wear collared shirts, blouses, dress pants, afternoon dresses or skirts. High heels are prohibited to prevent damage to the turf, and students are advised to wear flat-soled shoes or wedges for comfort during the long ceremony.
Decorating caps or altering gowns is not allowed, and all regalia must be approved during the graduation rehearsal. Personal items, including water bottles, purses and cell phones are prohibited at the ceremony. These items must be stored with family members, as security will not hold personal belongings.
The graduation ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. at the Wolverine Stadium. Gates will open at 2:30 p.m., and seniors must arrive by 2:45 p.m. to participate in the event, which is expected to last about 90 minutes. Graduates will have the opportunity to choose their seating arrangement during lineup.
Each graduate will receive five tickets for guests. Additional tickets may be purchased in person at the food court kiosk, based on availability. Tickets will be distributed on June 4, the day before the ceremony.
Samantha Murphy (12) says, “I’m glad I’ll be able to sit with my friends during graduation.”
Before the ceremony, seniors must attend a mandatory rehearsal the day before on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, beginning at 9 a.m. Students are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes early to check-in, and they must bring their Aliso Niguel High School ID cards. During the rehearsal, students will receive their caps and gowns, along with final instructions for the ceremony.
