In honor of “Stranger Things” Day, Nov. 6, the directors of the show, the Duffer Bros., released a little trailer for season five.
The trailer was significantly underwhelming as it barely gave fans any new information. The trailer consisted of an edited sequence with all of the episode names in season five.
The episode titles included: “The Crawl,” “The Vanishing of ___,” “The Turnbow Strap,” “Sorcerer,” “Shock Jock,” “Escape From Camazotz,” “The Bridge” and “The Rightside Up.”
The episode titles are very unique as they leave a lot of room for interpretation.
In addition to the episode titles, they also revealed that this season will be set in the fall of 1987 where “one last adventure begins.”
The last bit of information that was given to viewers was that the final season of “Stranger Things” will be released sometime in 2025.
The vagueness of the release date had ticked many fans off, as they have been waiting for two years for this final season.
“I was excited to see the release date, but it was disappointing not to get one. I am still going to watch it when it comes out, but it has been taking way too long. I mean Millie Bobby Brown [actress that plays Eleven on the show] literally got married between seasons four and five,” says Paige Bergman (12).
After two years of waiting, fans are beginning to wonder if the show is even worth the wait anymore.
Natalie Teigiser (12) is a huge “Stranger Things” fan and has been since 2015, but she is very unhappy with the current situation: “I am so over it. They have been taking forever, like just get to the point.”
As an avid viewer, Teigiser is fed up with how long it is taking them to release content and episodes. Teigiser, like Bergman, is going to watch the show once it is released, but she says that “it won’t be the same after this wait.”
Along with the episode names and little details about the setting, a few behind the scenes photos were released on instagram. The images focused on fan favorite characters like Steve Harrington, Chief Hopper, Joyce, Dustin and Will Byers.
The images were real evidence that they are filming season five, despite taking a very long time.
True fans will stick through this wait in order to see the conclusion of this famous Netflix series. Over the span of ten years, it is finally coming to a long awaited end.
