One whole week of school is off for the holiday Thanksgiving, where families and friends get together and eat food. Traditional Thanksgiving food consists of turkey, stuffing, bread rolls and baked vegetables, but are they the best Thanksgiving food to eat?
Although turkey is a stereotypical component to a Thanksgiving meal, several people prefer to eat ham over turkey. Ham is stated to be more of a juicier and tender meat than turkey, which appeals to many. For those whose taste buds favor sweeter flavors, ham definitely wins over turkey.
Another common choice for a Thanksgiving main course is meatloaf. Buying ground meat for meatloaf is more affordable than whole meats like turkey or ham and is more easy to make in the kitchen. Even more, there are countless recipes online that provide the right measurements to make a meatloaf that feeds a crowd during Thanksgiving.

To sneak in some vegetables, green beans are a common choice to incorporate into a Thanksgiving feast. Green beans can be used as both a main course through green bean casseroles and a side dish through roasted green beans. Green beans is a vegetable that many love and would be a great addition to a Thanksgiving meal.
The best part of Thanksgiving for some is dessert and even though it may be overused, the classic pumpkin pie will remain one of the best Thanksgiving desserts out there. Pumpkin pie can be easily baked for those who are less experienced in the kitchen or even bought from the store and would still be just as good. Eating pumpkin pie during Thanksgiving will surely bring out the autumn spirit.
Some may not like the pumpkin flavor; however there are still many pies to eat on Thanksgiving instead of pumpkin pie. Pecan pie is another well-known pie to eat during Thanksgiving and is still just as special for this season as pumpkin pie. For those who prefer a fruiter pie, apple pies are also very popular for a Thanksgiving dessert and are more likely to appeal to children.
Thanksgiving is a special time to celebrate and reunite with loved ones during the fall season. It is also an opportunity to express one’s love, which can be through making or eating delicious food together.
