Mrs. Wright’s Summer Europe Trip begins to open registration for seniors to join her on a 16-day journey across four countries. Priority registration was on October 18 to secure a spot and lower the price of the trip by 350 dollars.
Throughout the year, students can drop by Mrs. Wright’s room to pick up an Explorica flyer to learn more about the trip and attend any future information meetings she will hold.
Mrs. Wright says, “Students can pick up a flyer that contains all the information with the itinerary about the trip in my room.”
On the trip, each student is provided with an airfare that covers both ways from Paris and Greece back to the United States. Overall, the trip contains ten overnight stays in hotels that are covered by the cost, and students will receive dinner each day. Along with dinner, students are provided with a European breakfast and a professional tour director. The tour director will guide most walking tours throughout the trip.
Emma Mcdaniel (12) states “The trip seems super fun and I have always wanted to go to Greece, so I may consider signing up to attend this summer.”
To register for a spot, a student must pay 50 dollars and then keep up with the fees before the trip. Payment plans allow for the fees to be paid in increments throughout the year. On average, the total cost for student travelers is about 6000 dollars.
The group will start in Paris and meet a tour guide, check into the hotel and receive dinner.
The trip is not affiliated with the school, so they hold no liability over the students, and the rules are different because the students have graduated. The trip is open to seniors only and takes place from June 12 to June 28, 2025.
Throughout Paris, a sightseeing tour will take place along with visits to the Eiffel Tower, Opera House, Tuileries Garden, Lourve and Champ de Mars.
After Paris, the group will journey via train to Lucerne, Switzerland where students will take a tour and see the Chapel Bridge, Lion Monument, Jesuit Church and Weinmarkt. Then they will eat a traditional Swiss dinner. After, the group will spend a day in Montecatini and have time to roam around.
Later, the seniors will then travel to Rome where they will see St. Francis of Assisi, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Pizza Navona. Throughout Rome, they will continue to take trips to Vatican Museums and tour the areas. Finally, they will take a day trip to Capri and Blue Grotto.
Then students will travel to Patras where they will observe Pompeii and take a guided excursion.
Students will also take a cruise, throughout Greece, for four nights to explore the Aegean shores. This concludes the trip, and the students disembark to spend a final day in Athens.
Finally, students will fly home from Athens and conclude their trip.
