Aliso boys Cross Country has competed four more times in the month of October in which they continue to surpass expectations and improve significantly.
Oct. 5 was the 43rd Central Park Cross Country Invitational which was Junior Varsity and Frosh only.
Oct. 11-12 was the 45th Annual Asics Clovis Invitational where only four members of the team ran. Those were Faris Radieddine (12), Parker McAdam (11), Edward Hocking (11), and Quinn Curtis (12) all in their respective places.
The boy’s group was the Large Blue running a 5,000 meter course or just over 3.1 miles. Radieddine came in 60th just under 16:10 with McAdams in 62nd with a time of 16:11.2.
Hocking came in 94th just 20 seconds behind McAdams and finally Curtis who placed 174th with a time of 17:18.1. Fortunately every runner had an amazing race in which they set new personal records.
Oct. 19, the Orange County Cross Country Championships, seven runners which include Radieddine, McAdam and Hocking with an addition of Anderson Blattner (12), Lucas Morris (12), Karson Brunke (11), and Kaden Christensen (12).
This race was a three mile sweepstakes in which 172 runners competed from 26 different schools. Aliso placed in eighth with a score of 245 and a spread of 1:23.2 between the seven runners.
McAdams came in 27th running an amazing race with a new personal record of 15:32.1 a three second drop from last year. Next came Radieddine in 31st, at 15:33.4 just 10 seconds slower than McAdams.
In 61th was Hocking with Blattner just an eighth of a second behind at 63rd with a final time of 15:57.9. Just a little later Morris placed 68th with a 16:05 and Brunke one second behind in 72nd.
Lastly, Christensen placed 121st, 40 seconds behind Brunke.
The boy’s most recent race was on Oct. 25-26 at Mt. San Antonio College at the 76th Annual Mt. Sac Cross Country Invitiational. All seven from the previous race ran and finished in second place with an impressive score of 93.
All together their spread was 1:31 with McAdams coming in 6th, with a time of 16:10 and Radieddine in 10th, 14 seconds behind. Morris came in at 16:45 securing 19th place while Hocking came in 5 seconds later at 23rd.
Blattner came in at 17:28, Christensen at 17:37 and Brunke at 17:41, placing 39th, 44th and 48th respectively.
The boys are nearing the end of their season with just their SeaView League Finals and then they are off to CIF.
