Sophomore Camille Lawrance (10) said, “I’ve liked going to Tanaka Farms since a kid. It’s definitely one of the most festive among others and it’s always so fun to go visit every year.”
Another famous and local location around the town is Pumpkin City located in Laguna Hills. This lively farm includes a carnival atmosphere with rides, games and food stalls. It provides a family-friendly environment and makes for the perfect hangout spot for both kids and adults.
Pumpkin City is open Mon – Thur from 12:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and open from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Fri, Sat and Sun.
The Irvine Regional Pumpkin Patch is one of the most famous farms in town mainly because of its unique blend of history and fun. Visitors can take a train ride through the scenic park and explore the hay maze and participate in the exciting festive activities.
Aliso math teacher Ann Beckler said, “Me and my family would go to the Irvine Regional Park all the time. It was always so exciting for my kids, especially because of the train ride around the maze.”
The Irvine Regional Park is open Mon-Sun from 6 a.m. To 9 p.m. Fortunately, the entrance to the park is free, however there is an $8 activity ticket fee for the train and the fun rides.
Lastly, the Original Manassero Farm Market pumpkin patch, located nearby Irvine, is another top pick for locals. This patch boasts a diverse selection of pumpkins, exciting kids playgrounds and a bounce house.
This family-operated patch has been around for 100 years and has always been a kid’s favorite due to the wide variety of games and activities.
