On April 20, 2024, Aliso Niguel High School held its annual Taste of Aliso Niguel fundraising event.
The Taste of Aliso Niguel, hosted by Parents for Aliso Niguel (PFAN), is a cherished tradition that unites the community each year. This culinary extravaganza serves as the largest fundraising event for Aliso Niguel High School, raising over $900,000 in its time.
At its core, the Taste of Aliso Niguel aims to support the diverse needs of the school’s student body. By providing a platform for student organizations and booster clubs to raise funds, the event empowers students to pursue their passions outside of the classroom, creating a unique educational experience for everyone.
Asal Flodius (12) says “It’s so important for our local restaurants and businesses to support ANHS so that students can have everything they need to do well. It’s really special knowing that we have the support of our whole community.”
Local restaurant and beverage vendors contribute their most famous foods and drinks, allowing attendees to indulge in all the flavors while simultaneously supporting the school. Moreover, the event serves as a connecting experience for parent support groups and businesses, fostering relationships that go beyond the event itself.
The sponsorship opportunities further enhance the event itself because businesses, big and small, contribute to the special cause. Each contribution plays a major role in advancing the school’s mission and providing students with opportunities for personal growth and educational success.
Mariam Taheri (12) says, “I think fundraisers like this are so important for the school because it allows for all parents to get together and for the community to support our school so that students can have more opportunities. It’s a really cool event and I know a lot of parents who went to show their love for ANHS.”
PFAN is a non-profit organization that supports Aliso Niguel High School as well as its students. It was founded by parents and has grown into a crucial part of the community, raising funds to benefit student organizations, booster clubs, activities, departments and its facilities.
The accomplishments of the Taste of Aliso Niguel event serve as an example of the dedication and hard work of the PFAN board, volunteers and the broader community.
