Mr. Chen, Aliso Niguel’s orchestra teacher, expresses his excitement about the concert: “We’ve been working on this for months, and it’s great to finally see it all come together. The students have put in a lot of effort and I’m proud of their dedication to their craft.”
One of the performers, Cooper Lee (12), shared his thoughts on the concert as well. He shares, “This is always one of my favorite events of the year. It’s a chance to showcase what we’ve been working on and see how far we’ve come.”
Lee performed in a variety of ensembles on his violin during the concert. He had been practicing the pieces for weeks, and he was eager to see how it would be received by the audience.
Cooper also claims that “performing can be nerve-wracking, but it’s also really exciting. I love being able to share my music with others.”
Another performer at the concert was Eoin O’Connell, a pianist. Eoin had been working on a duet with another student, and he was excited to see how they would perform together.
Eoin comments, “Playing with someone else is a unique experience. You have to be in sync with each other and listen to what the other person is doing. But when it all comes together, it’s really rewarding.”
The concert featured a variety of performances, including solos, duets and ensemble pieces. Each student had chosen their own piece to perform, and they had been working on it for months.
The audience was impressed by the high level of talent on display. Many commented on how professional the students sounded.
“It’s amazing to see how talented these young musicians are,” said one audience member.
Another audience member said, “They sound like they could be professionals already.”
The concert was a success, and the students felt proud of their performances.
“It’s a great feeling to know that all our hard work paid off,” said Lee. “I’m so glad that we were able to share our music with everyone.”
Eoin agreed with the sentiment, saying, “It’s an honor to be able to perform in such a beautiful venue and to have so many people come out to support us.”
Mr. Chen was also pleased with the concert. “I’m so proud of all of our students. They worked hard to put on a great show, and they should be proud of themselves.”
