As Spring is approaching, Prom is also making its way around the corner. Prom is a big night where everyone gets to dress up and have fun with friends.
Prom is a memorable night for many but some girls are hoping to find the one dress for them but aren’t able to afford it.
Aliso Niguel Girls Volleyball had a fundraiser and wanted some ways to help! On March 8, they were able to collect used dresses, which the volleyball coach was collecting already, in front of the gym in the morning.
The fundraiser that girls volleyball was able to help is called “Cinderella’s Closet”. “Cinderella’s Closet” is a chance to give girls prom dresses who weren’t able to attend their prom because they could not afford it.
They collect many donations and can host many more events like this to help many girls. Whether it is through schools or organizations, they are hoping to give girls a chance and give them a night to remember.
“Cinderella’s Closet” didn’t just hold this event, they continue to make a difference. Another example of how they are making a difference is through “Sponsor a Princess” where you are able to donate $75. Your donation provides a girl with a dress, shoes, and some accessories.
“Cinderella’s Closet” hopes to provide an unforgettable experience where they show that they are loved and respected by many.
There are more ways to donate and they hold more events like this on March 17, 18, 24 and 25.
Aliso Niguel Girls Volleyball was happy to help and give support to “Cinderella’s Closet” to make dreams come true and to make sure that girls can remember those good memories and cherish them.
