One of Aliso Niguel High School’s most looked-forward-to events is the Winter Formal dance! This dance occurs every Feb. and always leaves students going home with a night full of exciting memories filled with music and delicious food.
Each year the Winter Formal dance is held in a beautiful venue. Last year the dance was held in Irvine and was displayed fantastically, containing a food cart with treats such as affogato and multiple types of cookies.
This year, Winter Formal will be held in Hanger 21 in Fullerton which is a very unique venue used for weddings and dances. The venue is located by the Fullerton airport and includes fun activities involving planes.
The venue is decorated beautifully yet casually, as one student Ella Kanaan (11) says “it kind of looks like a large cafe from the photos, I’m excited for how it will be decorated for our dance!”
Mostly only positive feedback has come from students about the venue, while some others have brought up that the drive is a bit far and out of reach.
Melody Le (12) compliments the venue saying “the venue itself seems clean and near and overall a nice pick!” Despite the long drive, the location chosen seems very welcoming and worth it.
Students enjoy getting food before dances and taking pictures, and Melody Le also states that “It is right next to Buena Park which has great locations for photos and many food options which therefore makes the drive seem convenient. Around the venue, Porto’s is 10 minutes away and serves Amazon Cuban food as well”
So despite the drive, students agree that it is mostly worth it and that the venue chosen is a great choice!
