As the New Year has just begun, people are eager to make resolutions and goals to challenge themselves. But some people make goals and some can’t follow through with them. So here are some of Aliso Students’ New Year’s Resolutions that didn’t get fulfilled.
Lily Carey(11) says “A New Year’s resolution that I had was to do notecards ahead of time and I didn’t because I have 50 to do tonight.”
Chloe Young(12) says “In the New Year, I planned to do all of my homework on time and get it done but I wasn’t able to do it because I already have a late assignment.”
Noah Eason(11) said, “Some of my New Year’s resolutions were not to get sick but I have already gotten sick and I planned not to get injured in soccer against Mission but I’m able to play again next Monday, so it’s not that bad of an injury which is good.”
Torin Kynor(11) says “I was planning to do all of my homework on time.”
Anderson Blattner(11) said, “I was going to wake up for a race and get up super early and I didn’t.”
Jordan Lamay(12) said, “One of my New Year’s goals was that I was going to eat better and eat less junk food.”
Camryn Liengang(12) also says “I planned to eat better which I haven’t done but a New Year goal I have accomplished is doing good at school so that makes me feel better.”
Jordan Brown(12) said, “Some of my New Year’s goals was that I was going to go to the gym every day and drink more water but I have been so busy with school that I haven’t been able to go to the gym.”
Sophia Bayar(12) said, “A New Year’s goal I had was to make sure that I didn’t miss any school but I always wake up late so I need to be better at that.”
Riley Covington(12) said, “I didn’t really have a New Year’s resolution but a goal I set for myself was to make sure I get my homework assignments done but I have missed a couple but was able to turn them in late.”
After listening to all of Aliso Student’s New Year’s Resolutions some students have failed resolutions in common like getting to school on time, making sure homework is turned in before the due date or even getting sick. It is a good thing to set goals because it helps us be better and if we can’t complete them that’s okay, just set another goal and challenge yourself.
