Aliso Niguel High School’s newspaper, The Growling Wolverine, organized a fundraiser at Acai Republic to support their publication efforts. The event was a great success, attracting a large number of students, faculty members, and community supporters.
The fundraiser was managed by the class’ ads manager, Neka Jazaeri (10), who commented about the event, “So to find a place to fundraise for our newspaper class, I go online and look up local restaurants and call them in advance to ask for some information on them, and then from there I go more into detail about the fundraiser.”
Acai Republic was the perfect venue for the fundraiser, with its delicious acai bowls, smoothies, and other treats. The newspaper class worked hard to promote the event, creating flyers and spreading the word through The Growling Wolverine’s Instagram page.
When the fundraiser began Acai Republic was buzzing with activity as students and community members came together to support the newspaper class’s efforts. This has been a great opportunity to try out the restaurant’s offerings while supporting a good cause.
The fundraiser was a huge success, raising a significant amount of money for the Newspaper class’s publication efforts. The class is grateful for the support of the community and is looking forward to organizing more fundraising events in the future.
Jazaeri also shared, “For future fundraising events I would like to organize something that would give the class the privilege to do a hands-on type of fundraiser such as a bake sale.”
Looking to the future, the Newspaper class has big plans for more fundraising events, and they are eager to explore new and creative ways to engage in the community.
The Growling Wolverine is committed to producing a quality publication that reflects the interests and concerns of students at Aliso Niguel High School.
