Aliso Niguel High School students take pictures before going to Homecoming to save memorable moments. Many students have made it a tradition to go to pretty locations to take pictures with a big or a small group of friends.
Taking pictures is a way to remember the fun times and to relive the moment. Students love to share the pictures with their peers through social media. They also send their parents or family members photos who could not come with them but still want to be a part of the moment.
This year, there were a variety of places people went to for pictures. A senior, Addison Port, went to her local community park to take photos with friends.
Port said, “We went to a cute little park and took pictures with our little sister and decided to stay because the sunset was so pretty.”
The park had beautiful views with green grass and big trees. She took pictures with her close friend and her little sister so she could enjoy the moment too.
Ambber Morales, a junior, and her friends wanted to take casual photos for Homecoming. She said, “We first went to a small playground, and then a gas station across the street.”
For Morales, it was not about the location of the photos, but about capturing a special moment with her best friends.
A sophomore, Marli Whiting and her friends chose a garden to take photos at.
“I went to a Botanical Garden in Laguna Niguel. There were gorgeous flowers, trees, plants and cool paths to walk down to take pictures.”
Whitingalso mentioned that there were many parents there, smiling and taking pictures of their kids with their friends. She went with a big group and one of the parents was nice enough to bring his professional camera to take high quality photos.
Majority of students went to the beach to take photos as well. Claire Hirakawa (9) said she and her friends went to Treasure Island Beach in Laguna Beach.
She said, “The beach was stunning. It was very warm and there wasn’t a lot of wind which made it perfect for pictures. There was a breathtaking sunset afterwards, which made great photos, and it only took us about 45 minutes.”
Since Hirakawa is a freshman, it is her very first year going to Homecoming. She wanted to go all out, making her first year perfect and very special.
Camryn Reece, a sophomore at Aliso Niguel High School, went to Dana Point Harbor. She posted great pictures on instagram to share her night and experience with her other friends and family.
She said, “We took pictures by the water, and by the time we finished eating, there was an amazing sunset outside, for more photo opportunities.”
The sunset was indeed incredible the night of Homecoming, which was a factor that made it an unforgettable night. Homecoming pictures are a great way to remember and share these moments no matter the location.
