This new school year has seen many improvements around campus for proctors and the well-being of students, including new golf carts, a new proctor, and school beautification.
The new golf carts that have been provided to the proctors on campus help the proctors efficiently patrol Aliso Niguel’s large campus and transport students to their required destinations when needed.
Mrs. Irha, a proctor at Aliso Niguel states, “The new golf carts we’ve received this year have really helped all of [the proctors] quickly get around campus when we get a call or some other emergency. It is a big upgrade from the past golf carts we drove and I’m so thankful that our school has been able to accommodate our needs and improve our tools.”
The advanced golf carts are just a small benefit for the numerous proctors at Aliso Niguel and the many services they provide for the students, staff and the campus as a whole.
Within the 2023-2024 school year, Aliso Niguel has also hired a new proctor to establish a greater group of supervisors on campus that look after students and tend to any concerns.
The job of a high school proctor is not easy; they look after thousands of students on campus and make sure that the school and nearby territory are safe and orderly. The administration has prioritized hiring more staff to keep Aliso Niguel a secure place with the proper resources.
Mr. Adauto, a new proctor at Aliso Niguel states that he is excited for the new school year and is “proud to provide services for the students and staff.”
The school has also made an effort to create an environment that not only reflects its values and identity, but also fosters a sense of pride, engagement, and community among its members, through school beautification.
Keith, a proctor at Aliso Niguel states, “In the last couple of weeks, we’ve had a lot of flowers and other plants planted around the school and it looks great. They started a couple of weeks ago and they’re about finished; it’s good for the students and elevates the school’s appearance.”
He also adds, “After coming back to campus this year, the administration and staff have really made an effort to welcome students and faculty and improve the school in many ways.”
The school’s beautification efforts teach students to be more respectful of the environment and clean up after themselves, and creates an attractive and engaging public space. Making students feel comfortable and content.
Asal Flodius (12) a student at ANHS states, “When I came to school this year I realized that the campus looked nicer and more clean. The plants around campus are also really nice because they make the school feel more homey and natural, instead of just dull buildings and concrete.”
As Aliso Niguel celebrates thirty years of excellence, the administration and the great faculty who keep the school running have continuously sought to improve the quality of the school through the implementation of new resources, a larger staff, and making the campus look nicer.
