Shining a focus on the growing Athletic talent, Jackson Geiger (12), prepares for his dominance in the pool and field this school year. Jackson has always been a prominent member of the Water Polo team holding a three year long position on Varsity.
He has been playing Water Polo for seven years, four at Aliso Niguel and three at Aliso Polo. He has racked up four Championships during his Career at Aliso Niguel.
Jackson states,”Waterpolo is an amazing sport but it requires a lot of hard work. As long as you work hard and stay motivated you will be great.”
Jackson has an impressive record of wins, even being the leading scorer of the Chris Weisz Tournament. He has won two Sea View League Championships, a championship in Chris Weisz Tournament and the Villa Park Championship. He was also awarded the Sea View League first team.
When asked about his thoughts on the game, Jackson comments, “I like playing water polo because it keeps me active and I am able to create lifelong friendships with my teammates.”
Last year Geiger and the team bumped up the Aliso Niguel to Division one after four long years of hard work in Division three.
Jackson Geiger states, “I really couldn’t do it without the guys, we pushed each other to play the hardest and win the League. It was one of the happiest moments of my life celebrating with the team and Coach Puffer inside of the pool.”
So far the Aliso Team has had a rough season with six wins and four losses. Jackson plans to lead the Aliso team to their next Sea View League Title this year.
Geiger is not only a talent in the pool but on the field as well. He has played soccer for 3 years at Aliso Niguel, planning for one last season this spring. Last season he was awarded a Scholar Athlete maintaining a 4.16 GPA throughout the semester.
Jackson plays the position of forward on the field. Last year he was selected for the Second Team All-League. He was also named to the All South Coast League team for the 2022-2023 Season.
Geiger is well liked by all his peers, and his coaches. Jackson has kept a strong bond between his two coaches Lynch and Puffer throughout his Water Polo career.
When asked about Jackson, his teammate Tyler Bird (10) comments, “Jackson is a great team member, he always finds a way to make us laugh and tries his best in everything. He has a great relationship with the whole team no matter the grade. He tries to stay positive in any situation and always shows up during games.”
Jackson Geiger plans to try his best for his last year here at Aliso Niguel trying to win league for both Water Polo and Soccer.
