Intro to Spring Sports
As the winter sports finish their last seasonal games, spring sports are beginning once again.
Several sports have started their pre-season already, beginning in early January.
The baseball team’s season started on Feb. 16. Their season opener was against Villa Park High School. The boys also played against Los Alamitos on Feb. 18.
The boys tennis team started their season on Feb. 14. Their first match was against Trabuco Hills High School. They went against Sage Hill High School on Feb. 16. The boys go against Irvine on Feb. 21.
The softball team season started on Feb. 11. Their first game was against Newport Harbor. Since then they have played Fountain Valley High School on Feb. 14, Woodbridge High school on Feb. 16, and El Dorado and St. Anthony on Feb. 18, both ending in wins.
The boys golf team starts on March 7. Their first match is against Orange Lutheran High School.
The boys lacrosse team started on Feb. 16. Their first game was against Canyon High School, and Aliso won 15-6. Last season the boys won CIF in division two and have moved up to division one this year.

The girls lacrosse team starts on Feb. 21. Their first game is against Beckman High School.
Olivia Carbajal (10) expresses, “it is going to be a fun season and I cannot wait for our first game!”
The girls swim team starts on Feb. 22. To get into the season there will be an intersquad, where Aliso goes against Aliso.
Maya Voss (10) states, “I am so excited to be on this team and compete. I am excited about this upcoming season and to see what it holds.”
The boys swim team starts their season on March 8. They have been training in and out of the pool waiting for their season to begin. Their first match is against Dana Hills High School. Varsity swim captain Paxton Smith (12) is “feeling confident about this season.”
The track and field team starts on March 4. The season opener will be the Earl Engman Relays at Portola High School. Their first meet is against Capo Valley High School on March 15. Track and field consists of several events: sprints, long jump, high jump, pole vault, shot put, and discus.
The boys volleyball team starts on Feb. 21. Their first game is against Beckman High School. The boys are also going to play Newport Harbor the same week on Feb. 23.
