Softball and School Spirit
Aliso Niguel High School’s softball team has been working hard while enjoying their season. They have played around 25 games, and have only four more games left this season, including senior night. The girls senior night is against Dana Hills High School on Apr. 27, and the team will be saying goodbye to four seniors.
This season has been filled with lots of wins and losses, and Haley Schmuhl (11), a player on the varsity team, explains what some of the highlights of school softball are. She says, “I loved how we had team dinners before some of our games. It was a really fun way for us to bond and put us in a good mindset for the game the next day.”
Despite tough losses, the team dinners were always something the girls got to look forward to, and gave them the opportunity to reflect, and also a chance to discuss future game strategies. And of course gave the girls a chance to hangout and have some fun!
We also can’t forget about what goes on in the stands! The wolverines always know how to bring the hype, and are always there to encourage their fellow student athletes. Anna Blasingham (11), says, “I loved watching the softball games this year and cheering my friends on. It felt really good to support my school.”
Going to games and cheering on classmates is always a great example of school spirit, and never discouraged at ANHS.
As the girls prepare to end their season and say goodbye to their seniors, they are able to look back on their amazing season, and set new goals for next year!
